Raising Riley is a horror novella where Riley, as an adult in a reformatory, narrates his childhood and the events which led him to that place. He tells of his abusive father, his best friend, the bullies who harass him and something very, very scary. I found the book a bit slow paced at times.

Its intensely personal and the vivid imagery pulls the reader in and doesn't let go until the brutal end. For those of you that have read Mr.
